Excellent for Beginners....

I'm entirely new to rowing. Senior citizen (73) and in good health so don't have a lot of issues. That said, it takes coordination to row and to be honest, given that once you get the stroke it is very repetitive, I need external engagement to keep it interesting. The mechanical aspects of the machine give me exactly what I need to do the workout I want at the level I want without any device issues. The variety of everything from instructor led education on the how tos to the gamification of rowing, the rewards system and the streaming gives me all the external engagement I could ever want. And even though the machine is not quite as simple to set up as they make it out to be, it is pretty easy with some help. AND it stores really well against a wall. So I am beyond thrilled to have this device to enable me to make the kind of effort and get the kind of results I want all while being entertained.

Time Saver

I work and have a 4 year old, so time is very limited as you parents will agree. My Aviron lets me squeeze in a fun strong workout when I can and keeps me consistent. I don’t have to drive back and forth an hour to the gym. That hour is precious time on a weekday. Thanks Aviron!

Incredible machine!

I did a lot of research into rowing as an option for exercise at home - and I'm so glad I ran across the Aviron product. It's an incredibly well designed machine, extremely smooth and quiet, and the monitor with the lessons, videos, and classes really help keep me motivated on on the machine as often as possible.

Addicted

I accidentally purchased the Impact rower instead of the intended Stronger model. This was to replace a rower that broke twice from another brand. At first I wasn't sure if I'd keep it since I really liked the features of the Stronger model. I decided to try it and have found most of the things I thought Id care about don't matter too much. I bought a clip on fan and can easily still sit my phone above the rowbar holder, so those features are taken care if. The biggest cons for this rower is that I struggle with is the annoying tap, tap, tap to adjust resistance. If you're in the middle of a game or timed session, that's a real drag. My previous machine at least had presets to jump from low to high without the ridiculous tapping. I also wish I had the added rotation for the screen that the Stronger model has. That one isnt a deal breaker, but for a machine at this pricepoint, it would have been nice. For the Aviron rower and online workout subscription I wish more virtual rows and more coached programs come along. I like what I have done, but some of the virtual rowing is weird- you're moving forward in view instead of seeing it pass. And the places you can row are a little limited in my opinion. More locations would be nice. A feature I had with my previous rower subscription was coached sessions all over the world, where one really felt they were in these locations with former Olympic rowers. One big pro to Aviron that I didn't expect to even care about. Is the video games. in a short time, I have become hooked. I enjoy doing a structured session and then a game each time I get on the rower. I find.that my workouts are longer and more fun. I look forward to working out and feel I am improving in my fitness level. So in conclusion, overall, I am happy with my Aviron with a few annoyances I hope will get better.

Great rower

I am a 70+ female. Until I retired I rowed crew 3-4 times/week. Bad knees keep me out of a shell now so I bought a 'conventional' rower and used it 3 times in 3 years. I missed and I need the workout provided by a rower so when I found Aviron, I ordered one. I put it together by myself (video was instrumental in monitor installation) and have been rowing 1-4 times a week. Pros: games/venues keep me engaged and coming back to row again, resistant adjustment on 'oars' is great (I don't have to reach for the monitor), the ability to 'feather' the 'oars' keeps my wrists healthy as I still work on computers, height of seat accommodates my bad knees, plus it's pretty cool looking. The only con I can think of is an occasional software glitch. I should add I bought the Strong Series Rower with all the accessories. I have no regrets about the purchase; in just 6 weeks I have noticed an improvement in my overall physical and emotional wellbeing.

First time rower! Love it!
