The questions people actually ask
Is a membership required?
No. Your Aviron is a complete working machine the moment it's assembled. Without a membership you still get unlimited profiles, the Metrics Monitor, your full workout history, achievements, friends, resistance or incline control, the MyAviron app and all the streaming apps. The membership adds the games, classes, races and programs on top.
What if I never activate it?
You're never charged. Billing starts when you activate a membership (you log in with your account on the machine) and not a day before, so you can own the machine for a year, decide you want the games, and start then.
Can I pause instead of cancelling?
Yes, on a monthly membership: twice in a calendar year, starting at the end of your current billing cycle and picking itself back up when the pause is over. Annual memberships can't be paused. Both are handled from a browser, no phone call needed.
How many people can use one membership?
Unlimited. Each profile gets its own history and metrics, at no extra cost. Aviron is built for ages 10 and up with an adult nearby, so kids can have profiles too.
What exactly is in the membership?
Thousands of workouts across eight categories: games, competition, Les Mills, coached classes, guided workouts, scenic destinations, Pros vs. Joes and Power Play, plus leaderboards, monthly challenges, achievement badges and Aviron coins to spend on avatars and upgrades. New workouts land every two to four weeks, and everything is included at one price.
Can I try the machine first?
First-time machine buyers in the contiguous US get a 30-day risk-free home trial: use it, and if it isn't for you, send it back in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. You can also book a virtual demo.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
Not to work out. The Metrics Monitor runs with no internet connection at all. You'll want Wi-Fi or ethernet for the library, live competition, streaming and the software updates we push every few weeks, but a dropped router never costs you a session.
