“Aviron’s low-impact workouts are perfect for active recovery, even for a runner like me. These sessions have massively improved my overall fitness and endurance without straining my joints.”

“I decided on Aviron mainly for the games in hopes that my older teen would engage. I had no desire to play with others and definitely not a game person.

In true Gen X adhd fashion, I ended up loving the variety Aviron has to offer. Sometimes I’m totally into games and working out with others, going hardcore in structured workouts or leisurely working out to the latest episode of Reacher.”

Hopeful and Determined

My Aviron purchase represents a hope and a determination to go into my golden years as a super-ager, despite the fact that COVID had me growing roots in my couch. I have osteoporosis (and it's bad) and I truly believe a commitment to fitness with rowing is the perfect exercise to challenge my bone loss and turn it around.

Getting there...

The marketing ****** me in but I found that the parts I thought I would like were not at all the parts that I actually liked. The games were too hard at first even at the easiest setting and the scenic rowing wasn't motivating. After 2 months of near daily rowing with Austin giving me instruction and encouragement through the guided programs, I am feeling good in my form and body. My core is so much stronger which helps me get through daily life and now I'm finally getting the stamina and speed to be able to start playing the games. I still can't get into the scenic rowing though.

Good for the old bones!

I’m 70 years old with several significant health issues. This rower was the answer to my need for low impact exercise. I find it challenging as well as engaging. Works for me on my schedule. Well built, easy to assemble and even looks great. I mostly use the rowing scenery backgrounds, I like the swashing sounds of the water as I row. My wife likes it as well.

old guy rower

I am an 64 year old disabled veteran with SI joint dysfunction among other things. I have been 'encouraged' to walk to get moving. But, walking really hurts most days because of my SI joint/arthritis (the things I did when I was in my 20's are definitely reminding me I am not as indestructible as I once believed. So, I decided to give the Aviron Rower a try (different motion than walking but exercise for my legs, arms, back, and a bit of cardio). The Aviron Strong rower does not require 'sitting on the floor to row' -- I can get on/off pretty easily. Access to all of the programs is a real help, The one improvement I'd like is music added to more of the virtual rows and maybe updated/new rows added on some sort of schedule (monthly?). Bottom line is -- I have been able to use the rower almost every day since we got it. My spine still hurts, but it is going to hurt regardless and it is easier than walking. Bonus is I can tell the doctors I am 'moving' so they feel better about doing what they can to keep me going and I avoid lectures. Like I said, it still hurts but I can tell the doctors I'm doing my own thing. The rower was worth the money, the attitude/motivation to row regardless is personal. I am sure rowing is doing me good health wise but even more so mentally -- being willing to say "f it" and row allows me to use my pain as the enemy. And I refuse to let the enemy win.
