Best Overall Rowing Machine in Market

I've tried them all, Hydrow, Ergatta, Nordiq Track, etc. Aviron has none of the downsides and a massive upside in terms of user friendliness and modes of interaction. Concept 2 may be a better bang for buck if you take out the interactive aspect, but it is too noisy for indoor set up generally. The Aviron is quiet, comfortable, reasonable subscription for what you get, hope you guys keep up the good work.

Novice Rower

While researching ways to get the most out of my exercise time and having become bored with my stationary bike I came across rowing. I decided to pursue it and began researching rowers in the marketplace and almost made a purchase when I discovered Aviron. While on the high side of cost this is one of the finest, if not the finest, piece of home gym equipment I've ever owned. One can tell a lot of thought was invested in its design and development. As many others have said before me once you get started you won't want to miss a day using it. The wide array of interactive programs keep you engaged and never bored. The auto resistance features help greatly with strength training on top of the aerobic conditioning all in one compact workout. In 6 short weeks I have already noticed a big difference in leg and core strength as well as toning in my arms, chest, and back. This rower is very well made and will last for many years no matter your height or size. It is one of the best investments I've ever made in myself and for the first time in a long time I look forward to exercising! If you're in the market for a rower do yourself a favor and strongly consider Aviron I'm very happy that I did! Great job Aviron!

Great machine; beginner support lacks

First of all, the machine is very good and quiet, not silent but quiet. It is built well and solid. Assembly was easy but I had to remove a few screws from the housing because it had been pushed in during shipment. Once the housing was aligned I was able to complete the assembly. One thing that annoys me is that if forgets my resistance settings, it always reverts back to resistance one. My account should always have my last resistance setting so when I log in it automatically adjusts my resistance. Unfortunately, it does not do that. There is another thing that annoys me: the metrics page which shows a lot of information on my workouts, does not take into account what type of workout I am doing. It should ask me what type of workout I plan to do, 2000m, Steady State, Castles, etc, and put my workout in that category. But all it does is mash all workouts together into one mess. Another thing is when you login to your account on the website, it removes your login on the rower. You will have to login again on the rower when you want to use it. The biggest problem that I see is for beginners, like me. I believe that a manufacturer of equipment should be interested in whether or not their customers are using their equipment correctly or not. The company should provide workout plans and show correct form in using their equipment. I did not see that. There are two videos that are offered that show the basics of rowing but you have to pay for it. I just spent over $2000 for this rower. You would think that knowing how to use it would come with the purchase price but it did not. I know that the content provided cost money as it should but the basics should be included when you purchase the rower at least for the first month. I bought this machine to workout, lower my cholesterol, strengthen my lungs and heart, not to be entertained. Therefore, I will not spend $300.00 more each year to use this machine. I had to go to other website for workout plans and to make sure I was using this rower correctly, something Aviron did not provide for me. Now, if Aviron does supply this information, it is not obvious on their website. In summary, great machine but lacks in beginner support.

Expectations Were High And Aviron Delivered!

Spent a fair amount of time "researching" the best rowers available in 2021.Settled on Aviron because of the 1). marketing video Andy presented, 2}. the affordability of the device, 3). the available exercise options on line and most important, 4). the Aviron rowing community of FB. The wait time after purchase was exactly as Aviron noted in its communications...unbelievable given the current disruption to the world-wide supply chain. The packaging of the equipment was superb...everything arrived intact and undamaged. Set up was a breeze in spite of my "one in a million shot" where a washer ended up inside the monitor (that's a story for another day). I'm now in my 10th day of ownership...I've rowed over 40K meters and am loving the addition of rowing to my weekly weight regimen....thanks Aviron for such a fantastic treasure!!!

Best Investment in Myself

I love this machine. I was hesitant due to the price tag, but this has been the best investment into myself (and now my family) I could have made. The interface keeps me motivated and wanting to row "just a little bit longer", which turns what would have been an average workout into a sweat dripping, calorie crushing, accomplishment that I'll be back to do again tomorrow. It tricks me (in the best way) to working harder and having more fun than any standard workout has ever done. Whether it's beating previous scores, making a better time, climbing the leaderboard or making it further in a game, Aviron keeps me engaged and excited about working out. I've had it for 2 months and already I'm seeing noticeable differences in my endurance, general fitness and waistline. If you're debating whether this is the rower for you, stop debating. It is. Get it.

Homework pays off!

I am a big believer in putting in homework prior to making a decision, that realistically is a really long term investment. There are really some good rowers out there! The difference for me was plain and simple.... COMPETITION! I need to feel as if I am competing to really get the most out of my workouts, to push the extra bit each workout. In investigating the main rowers out there, Aviron in my humble opinion is unrivaled currently. They have mixed in an interactive platform that allows you to go all social with the competition. You don't need to have a friend that want to compete, you have an entire network, and not to mention AI, that really pushes you as well! I feel Aviron did their homework and created a rower that has the instructor led classes, but breaks out of the mold with a creative platform that is not just competitive, but also simply entertaining. Well done!
