A MAJOR SOFTWARE UPDATE
In late February we announced our Series A funding and with it a promise to continue the pace of exciting software releases for 2022. In the first 4 months of 2022 we’ve already introduced Coached Programs with Training Tall, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, 10+ new Power Play games, the ability to join live ongoing workouts at any time, toggle between private and public workout rooms, leaderboards for all programs and much much more.
If you follow Aviron, you know that my personal philosophy and the Aviron brand is rooted in product. We hope you like our ads and we work hard to provide a top notch customer experience but a high quality hardware and software product is king. It’s my personal passion to continue to make Aviron more immersive, more fun, more social and just plain better.
Let’s jump into it.
We’re very excited to announce the launch of Prime Video on Aviron. You can now log into your account and catch up on all your favorite shows and movies while your data is captured, you earn Aviron Coins, and continue to progress towards your fitness goals.
FIRST TO OFFER STREAMING INTEGRATION
When Netflix and Disney+ launched in March (followed by Hulu in April) we were proud to be the first at-home and in-gym connected rower to integrate streaming into our software platform. Our member community is showing the love for streaming by using the category frequently, typically averaging 30 minutes of rowering per session. Our data also shows members continue to incorporate a healthy mix of all 8 programming categories into their workout sessions. This supports our continued efforts to provide the most content diversity on the market with the aim to End Boring Workouts and to ensure Aviron is the future of Fitness Entertainment.
Prime Video is the final addition (for now 😉) to our streaming suite which now includes Netflix, Disney+, YouTube and Hulu.
Power Play is one of our newest workout content categories but also one of our most popular. An exciting combination of game and guided program, members gravitate towards Power Play for its exciting visuals, focus on timing, metric improvement and ability to work out with other members and friends via live races.
Our latest update not only adds five new Power Play programs, specifically developed based on user feedback ( i.e. shorter power plays, more multiplayer options) but levels up the Power Play category with three new immersive bacgrounds, additional music tracks and exciting gameplay features like point Combos, Double Points, Flip/Reverse Points and Stay in Lane Points.
Increasing motivation and consistency of workouts using game design and psychology is at the heart of Aviron product development. Members began collecting Aviron coins, our version of a sweat equity currency, earlier this year. Each minute spent rowing earned members an Aviron coin. Now with 10s, hundreds and even thousands of coins earned, members can begin to redeem coins for upgraded game backgrounds. This is just the first development and many more upgrades will be available in the coming months.
Even with the popularity of new update features like Power Play programs and streaming, our members continue to gravitate towards the Games category on Aviron. Unlike any other connected fitness rower (or home machine) on the market, Aviron allows you to play fully animated, multiplayer video games that are fun, exciting, and even addicting! Unlike the track/road style gamified design that we use in Power Play (and that Peloton also recently implemented and aptly named, Lanebreak) Aviron games allow you to escape zombies in a post apocalyptic world, shoot bugs in a futurist scape and level up in the vintage Brick Breaker inspired Row Breaker, to name a few. The games category is how Aviron got started and I am very happy to see members still enjoying my personal favorite feature.
Stay tuned for our next product update announcement.
Row to shoot and become the bug blaster master. You have 3 lives so make them count!
Inspired by the old school Bricker Breaker, this new twist has you rowing to break those bricks as you level up. Proceed with caution, this one is addictive!
Inspired by high school gym endurance tests, this game has you rowing to kill wave after wave of robots. You can’t win but how many levels can you beat before you lose?
