Andy's
founder story
Andy didn't set out to start a fitness company. He set out to fix a problem he experienced firsthand. Like a lot of people, he believed in working out. He just couldn't stick with it. The workouts started to feel monotonous, and the motivation faded. So instead of blaming himself, he asked a better question: what if the problem isn't people, but the product?
That question became the foundation of Aviron.
Aviron began with a simple but unconventional idea: workouts should feel more like play. Andy saw how games keep people engaged through progress, challenge, and momentum. Why couldn't fitness do the same? The first product, the Aviron Rower, was built around that belief, giving members new ways to play, stream, train, compete, and track progress, while making workouts feel a lot less boring.
What started as one reimagined rowing machine evolved into something bigger. Under Andy's leadership, Aviron expanded into rowers, bikes, and treadmills, becoming a connected fitness brand built around one clear mission: End Boring Workouts.
That philosophy still guides the company today. Andy didn't found Aviron just to sell equipment. He founded it to make working out something people actually want to do.
