## What's New This Month

### Coached Classes: Intro to Rhythm
**Machine: Bike**

Intro to Rhythm is a new 8-class coached bike series with Trainer Jenny, designed to teach the foundations of music-driven cycling. Each 25-minute ride layers hill climbs, flat-road sprints, and upper body work, progressing from cadence basics in Class 1 to triple-digit sprints and endurance stacks by Class 8.

Along the way, you'll learn:
- Drop sprints
- Push-up and oblique combos on the handlebars
- Sliding arm sequences
- Sustained tempo blocks, all timed to the beat

Jenny coaches you through every transition, building rhythm awareness, climbing strength, and cadence control across the full series. Whether you ride them back to back or spread them across a few weeks, Intro to Rhythm gives you a structured path to confident, music-driven riding.

### Coached Classes: Pace Lab
**Machine: Treadmill**

Pace Lab is a new 8-class coached treadmill series with David Pisanich, built around one idea: learning to run by feel rather than fixed numbers. Each 20-minute session develops your understanding of perceived effort, pacing strategy, and speed control.

Session progression:
- Class 1: Basic intensity calibration through escalating intervals
- Builds through speed pyramids, even-split endurance holds, Fartlek freestyle sessions, tempo territory work, negative splits, and speed strides
- Class 8: Full race simulation

David coaches you to recognize your own effort levels and adjust instinctively — a skill that translates directly to better running on and off the treadmill. Start at Class 1 and work through the full series at your own pace.

### Coached Classes: Summer Ready — Week 5 (Final)
**Machine: Rower**

Summer Ready wraps up this month with its fifth and final week of coached rowing. Week 5 breakdown:

- **Day 1:** Low-rate pyramid — 2-minute intervals climbing from 14 SPM to 24 SPM and back
- **Day 2:** Final technique row pulling together everything practiced in pause drills
- **Day 3:** Seven rounds of 1-minute hard intervals at 32 SPM — the highest stroke rate and most rounds of the entire program
- **Day 4:** 30-minute steady-state cardio row
- **Day 5 (Capstone):** Final 10-Minute Step Test revisiting the very first workout from Day 1 of Week 1 — same structure, better numbers

Find Week 5 in Coached Classes on your Rower.

### Powerplay: Firestorm Expansion
**Machines: Bike, Rower, GO, Treadmill**

The Firestorm series is now available across all three modalities — six guided workouts each for the Rower, Bike, and Treadmill — built around a clear progression from start to finish.

**Rower:**
- Pyramid rows, sustained intervals, and declining ladders at Resistance 5 and 6

**Bike:**
- Same interval structures scaling from Resistance 70 up through 100+, building cadence control and sustained output as you progress

**Treadmill:**
- Built around incline walking, starting at 7% grade and climbing to 10% by the final workout, with intervals that develop endurance and grade tolerance over time

**Series structure:**
- Early workouts: Establish baseline with formats like 7-5-3-5-7 pyramids and four-set sustained holds
- Middle sessions: Increase volume and resistance
- Final workouts: Declining ladders (7-6-5-4-3) that train your ability to hold pace as interval length drops

Start at Firestorm 1 and work through the full series, or drop into any session based on where your fitness is today.

### Monthly Challenge — June: Typhoon June
**Machines: Rower, Bike, Treadmill, GO, Abs Hero**

Typhoon June is a monthly challenge with goals specific to each modality:

| Modality | Metric |
|---|---|
| Rower | Accumulated strokes |
| Bike | Output |
| Treadmill | Elevation |
| Ab Hero | Output |

Build toward Bronze, Silver, or Gold by the end of June. Every workout counts — coached classes, guided workouts, virtual sessions, and games all contribute to your total. The tiers are set to reward consistency over the full month.

**Teams Challenge note:** The Teams Challenge combines all modalities into a single shared metric, so your whole team's output counts together no matter what machine you're on.

### Scenic Destinations
**Machines: Rower, Bike, Treadmill, GO**

**Costa Vicentina, Portugal (Bike/Treadmill/GO)**
Rolling hills, spring wildflowers, and the Atlantic Ocean on the horizon. This virtual experience moves through the open countryside of Portugal's Costa Vicentina coast. The terrain is gentle and consistent, with gradients that build a natural rhythm without sharp changes in effort. Well-suited as a warm-up ride, recovery session, or standalone workout.

**Thailand Rice Fields (Bike)**
Pedal through Thailand's countryside in a scenic bike ride through wide, open rice fields bathed in natural light. The terrain is flat and the views are wide — built for consistent pacing and time in the saddle.

**Sangklaburi, Thailand (Rower)**
Sangklaburi sits in one of western Thailand's quietest corners, where jungle meets still water. This virtual row puts you on flat, calm lakes surrounded by dense tropical foliage and open water. Well-suited for steady-state rowing focused on stroke rate and aerobic effort. Use it to build your endurance base, refine technique, or get a clean, distraction-free row in.

**Coron, Philippines (Rower)**
Row past the scattered islands of Coron in the Philippines in this 25-minute virtual row. Clear, shallow waters stretch between limestone shores and distant green hills, creating an open, uninterrupted seascape. A strong choice when you want a longer, focused effort without distraction.
