# Major Product Software Update — Aviron

## Overview

In late February 2022, Aviron announced its Series A funding alongside a promise to continue the pace of exciting software releases. In the first four months of 2022, Aviron introduced:

- Coached Programs with Training Tall
- Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu streaming integration
- 10+ new Power Play games
- Ability to join live ongoing workouts at any time
- Toggle between private and public workout rooms
- Leaderboards for all programs

This major update adds Prime Video, Aviron Coins redemption, an upgraded Power Play experience, and more.

## Introducing Prime Video

Aviron's streaming suite is now complete (for now). Members can log into their Prime Video account and watch shows and movies while workout data is captured, Aviron Coins are earned, and fitness goals continue to progress.

**Aviron was the first at-home and in-gym connected rower to integrate streaming into its software platform.** Netflix and Disney+ launched in March 2022, followed by Hulu in April 2022. Member data shows streaming sessions typically average 30 minutes of rowing per session, while members continue to incorporate a healthy mix of all 8 programming categories.

**Full streaming suite now includes:**
- Netflix
- Disney+
- Hulu
- YouTube
- Prime Video

## Power Play: A New, More Immersive Gameplay Experience

Power Play is one of Aviron's newest and most popular workout content categories — an exciting combination of game and guided program focused on timing, metric improvement, and live races with other members and friends.

**This update includes:**
- Five new Power Play programs developed based on user feedback (shorter power plays, more multiplayer options)
- Three new immersive backgrounds
- Additional music tracks
- New gameplay features:
  - Point Combos
  - Double Points
  - Flip/Reverse Points
  - Stay in Lane Points

## Aviron Coins: Redeem Sweat Equity for In-App Upgrades

Members began collecting Aviron Coins earlier in 2022, earning one coin per minute of rowing. With this update, members can now redeem accumulated coins for upgraded game backgrounds. Additional upgrade options are planned for coming months.

## Games: Still a Fan Favorite

The Games category remains highly popular on Aviron. Unlike any other connected fitness rower on the market, Aviron allows members to play fully animated, multiplayer video games. Current games include:

### Bug Blaster
Row to shoot and become the bug blaster master. You have 3 lives — make them count.

### Row Breaker
Inspired by the classic Brick Breaker, this game has you rowing to break bricks as you level up. Proceed with caution — it's addictive.

### No Tomor(row)
Inspired by high school gym endurance tests, this game has you rowing to defeat wave after wave of robots. You can't win — but how many levels can you beat before you lose?
